The Kagyu Institute of Buddhist Studies offers a range of courses and retreats, from single weekends through to 5 years in duration.

Certificate in Buddhist Studies
[Currently on hold] A 3-year (years 4 and 5 optional) full time residential Buddhist studies course based on the sutra and tantra texts traditionally studied in the Tibetan Buddhist Kagyu tradition.
Short Dharma Courses
These courses aim to provide opportunity for students who are keen in gaining a deeper understanding of the Buddha's Teaching but who do not have the time to take up long courses.
Retreats
The Institute is available for individual retreats that vary in duration from a week up to several months. We also have a number of group retreats organised around a practice or text.
Pilgrimages
The Kagyu Institute of Buddhist Studies is now organising a number of group Pilgrimages to sacred Buddhist sites which will be led by Venerable Shangpa Rinpoche and the Sangha.

Tibetan Language
KIBS also provides opportunities for students who are interested in learning colloquial Tibetan. Private tuition in Tibetan language can be arranged on request.
Tibetan Art and Thangka Painting
For an arranged period, a famous Tibetan Artist from Bhutan will be at the Institute to give personal guidance to interested students.

Informally Visiting the Kagyu Institute of Buddhist Studies
Visitors are very welcome to visit the Institute without necessarily taking part in any formal activities. Given the nature of the Institute (with its emphasis on study and retreat), we would appreciate you filling out and emailing the following form prior to your visit.
